Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Upon successful and active completion of the course: -student will be able to: • closer specify the business environment in the European Union, • characterize the promotion of entrepreneurship in the European Union in the Czech Republic (including business support for small and medium-sized companies), • list and describe the forms of transnational companies, • define a socially responsible company, • understand the problems of the single internal market, - student will be able to: • make a business in the EU, • understand the issue of business support in the Czech Republic and in the European Union, - student receives: • guidance in the business environment in individual countries of the European Union, • an overview of aid within the European Union and the Czech Republic, • orientation to the functioning of the internal market, • picture of the activities of a socially responsible company

Summary

The goal of the course is to complete the student's knowledge in the area of business and its support in the European Union. The course will introduce the business environment and institutions to promote entrepreneurship. Considerable attention is given to promoting entrepreneurship in the European Union and the Czech Republic with a special emphasis on supporting small and medium enterprises. Attention is also paid to the innovation and promoting innovative entrepreneurship in the EU. The subject is also discussed EU policy to support industry and business. Another part of the course focuses on additional topics related with this issue - it is such a supranational forms of company, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, protection of intellectual property in the EU and the free movement of goods, services, persons and capital in the single internal market EU.
