Cílem předmětu je seznámit frekventanty s vývojem, současností a perspektivami žurnalistiky v online prostředí, se specifikaci online žurnalistiky a s nástroji, které ke své práci používá. Absolvent předmětu je vybaven nezbytnými teoretickými i praktickými znalostmi, které potřebuje k samostatné práci online žurnalisty. Předmět reflektuje aktuální trendy a směry vývoje, proto je následně uvedená osnova předmětu pouze orientační.
