Subject syllabus:

1. Introduction to the aspects of internal regulation (self regulation) of media as part of the normative framework of media systems of individual nation-states. 2. Theory of journalistic ethics (as part of applied and professional ethics) 3. Application of theoretical knowledge in practice. 4. Analyses of actual ethically questionable cases from the Czech media discourse and media discourses of the chosen countries (especially Great Britain, the United States of America or the Federal Republic of Germany. 5. Codification of ethical principles in the Czech media system. 6. Comparison of ethical codes of the chosen Czech media with media abroad.
