to judge the organizational structure of a certain media type to evaluate interrelations among particular professions to give strengths and weaknesses of organizational structures of media organizations individual types to justify managing of particular sections

Summary

Cílem předmětu je objasnit organizační strukturu médií a vztahy mezi jednotlivými útvary a profesemi, a to jak uvnitř redakce, tak i v celém médiu. Popsána bude provázanost jednotlivých složek - realizace, technické profese a samotných redakcí jednotlivých typů médií (tisk, rozhlas, televize, internet). Témata: Rozhodovací procesy při výběru a zpracování témat. Regionální redakce - jejich pozice v rámci celostátního média. Personalistika - řízení jednotlivých útvarů, předpoklady pro správný výběr podřízených. Řešení konkrétních situací - např. krizové (přírodní katastrofy, hromadná neštěstí) nebo zpracování zásadních událostí jako jsou např. volby: struktura vysílání, rozhodování o prioritách, sestavení týmu, rozdělení pravomocí. Finanční řízení.

Subject syllabus:

1. Solution of editorial policy: relationship managing editor - editors - heads of sections - editors. 2. Decision-making processes in the choice and processing of topics. 3. Regional editorial offices - their position within the nationwide media. 4. Career advancement within individual professions and in the whole system. 5. Human Resources - management of individual departments, preconditions for the right choice of subordinates. 6. Solution of actual situations - e.g. crisis situations (natural disasters, mass disasters) or processing of major events such as election, the structure of broadcasting, decision-making on priorities, team building, division of powers.
