- to extend knowledge from probability and statistics,
- to develop practical exploitation of gained knowledge at a processing of statistical data
on a computer

Summary
Taught only in Czech.
This course deepens and practises acquired basic knowledge from probability and
statistics. The students learn how to explore quantitative and qualitative data
on PC, how to estimate and test properties of population given the knowledge of
its random sample and how to present results or solutions of practical cases by
tables or graphs.

Úkoly:
1. Samostatné vypracování a úspěšné obhájení zadaných projektů. Každý projekt má 2 povinné části, výpočet v Excelu a slovní komentáře výsledků ve Wordu.
2. Písemný test s příklady k řešení, doplněný slovními komentáři výsledků.
Zápočet = body za projekty + body z písemného testu.
Studenti, kteří opakují předmět, musí všechny povinnosti plnit znovu. Projekty musí být nové, včetně nových dat.

1-dimensional analysis of statistical data - quantitative variable. Frequency distributions.
1-dimensional analysis of statistical data - qualitative variable.
2-dimensional analysis of statistical data - quantitative variables
2-dimensional analysis of statistical data - qualitative variables.
Mathematical Statistics. Random variable. Distribution and characteristics of random variables.
Statistical inference. Random selection. Estimates of the parameters. Select the number of elements of random selection.
Tests of statistical hypotheses - parametric, nonparametric.
Analysis of variance.
Regression analysis - linear and nonlinear.
Time series analysis - an introduction.
