Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The outpusts of the subject: 1) obtaining the theoretical knowledge about essential and aim of logistics and about its basic tasks, 2) understanding and ability to explain the factors that have impact on running the flows and on logistics costs, the way of setting the batch size, time planning, inventory analysis, replenishment models, as well as the procedures in warehousing and distribution, 3) ability to implement the methods for batch sizing, capacity calculations, lead time planning and scheduling, layout improvement, inventory Pareto analysis, reorder point setting, 4) ability to analyse the lead time, layout, inventory structure and inventory turnover, 5) ability to roughly suggest the appropriate directions of flow improvement.

Summary

The aim of the subject is to provide the introduction to logistics. The goals, approach, principles and basic tasks of logistics will be presented. The procedures of logistic flows organization will be explained and basic logistic techniques will be trained.

Subject syllabus:

1. Pojetí logistiky, její funkce a cíle. Vývoj logistiky a nové trendy. 2. Systémový přístup v logistice, logistické řetězce a logistické sítě, logistická rozhraní. 3. Úroveň logistických služeb a logistické náklady. Logistické vyvažování. 4. Cíle, principy a hierarchie úloh v logistickém managementu. 5. Problematika stanovení velikosti dávek. 6. Průběžná doba – pojem, struktura, nástroje jejího zjišťování a analýzy. 7. Kapacita a specializace pracovišť a jejich vliv na logistiku. 8. Úvod do logistiky v zásobování: volba dodavatelů, režimy doplňování zásob, skladovací systémy. 9. Vybrané úlohy z řízení zásob: druhy zásob, ukazatele rychlosti pohybu zásob, stanovení objednacích režimů a velkosti dodávek, ABC-analýza. 10. Úvod do plánování a řízení výroby. 11. Problém lokalizace v logistice. Metody pro racionalizaci prostorového uspořádání. 12. Úvod do distribuce: základní úlohy v distribuční logistice, sdružování, rozdružování a kompletace, úloha poskytovatelů logistických služeb, srovnání druhů dopravy. 13. Směry rozvoje technických prostředků pro logistiku. 14. Informační systémy v logistice. 15. Ekologické, sociální a právní aspekty logistiky.
