Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Outputs: 1) ability to define and in the right way to use the therms from field of quality management, to orientate in the approache, methods and techniques of QM 2) ability to undertstand and explain the economic impact of quality, impact of quality on competitiveness, to clasify the costs connected with quality, necesssity of avoiding the nonconformities, to explain the structure and functions of quality management systems according to ISO standards, principles of quality analysis and improvement. 3) ability to implement Six Sigma methodology SPC method, FMEA method and poka-yoke technique, to compare different approaches to quality management and improvement, 4) ability to analyze in systematic way the problems with quality from symptoms through relevant factors to root causes identification, 5) ability to make syntheses of particular knowledge obtained from qualita analyses and to developed in the team way preventive and corrective actions 6) ability to evaluate different variants of actions towards quality improvement and the priorities setting.

Summary

The aim of the subject is to obtain a broader knowledge in the field of QMS (in accordance with ISO standards). Furthermore to obtain knowledge of process improvement in accordance with Six Sigma approach (i.e. TQM), ad skills in analysis and improvement of quality. Finally, absolvents should be able to become a member of quality team in organization and utilize their skills in quality problem solving.
