Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The outpusts of the subject: 1) obtaining the theoretical knowledge about global logistics, logistic concepts, criteria for location in logistics, partnership in supply chains, approaches and methods of logistic analysis and auditing, demand forecast, process cost measurement, 2) understanding and ability to explain the impact of structure and managing the logistic network on logistic variables and economic results, the purpos and using the logistic analyses, 3) ability to implement the methods for time and material consumption measurement and analysis, techniques of demand forecast, process cost measurement, 4) ability to analyse the process and logistic chain with use of more criteria and identify the potential for improvement, 5) ability to design and evaluate appropriate variants of logistic network icluding the risk mitigation.

Summary

In the subject culminates the setting up subjects focused on logistics and quality management. The knowledge from the field of process and logistics management are deepening and synthetized. The knowledge is extended to fields behind the enterprise borders (supply chain management, global logistics, external logistic integration), it elarge on analytical, diagnostical and project practices.

Subject syllabus:

1. Summarization of basic principles of logistics and content of typical logistic tasks. 2. Present problems of logistic chains and directions of their solving. 3. Lean concept. 4. Concept of agility. ECR concept. 5. Demand forecast. 6. Logistic performance measurement and controlling. 7. Logistic chain mapping and analysis. 8. Location in logistics. 9. Warehousing systems. 10. Logistics in distribution. 11. Risk management in logistics.
