Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The outpusts of the subject: 1) obtaining the theoretical knowledge about order penetration point, theory of constraints, time- and material-consumption cathegories, customer analysis principles, production planning based on MRP incl. software tools, lean production principles, 2) understanding and ability to explain the economic impacts of logistic decision making, methods for time and material consumption standards creation, steps in capacity bottle-necks identification, MRP technique, etc. 3) ability to implement the principles of theory of constraints in product mix selection, production plans creating through MRP technique, the inventory impact on ROI evaluation etc. 4) ability to analyse the customers profitability, inventory structure and progress, adding and non-adding value in the value stream 5) ability to design appropriate approaches to customers according to their profitability, design the criteria for the current suppliers evaluation.

Summary

The subject is the following of the basic subject Logistics A. The theoretical base of logistics management, the logistics in replenishment, inventory control and logistics in production are explaining in more details. The principles of lean manufacturing are included.
