Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The outpusts of the subject:
1) obtaining the theoretical knowledge about global logistics, logistic concepts, criteria for location in logistics, partnership in supply chains, approaches and methods of logistic analysis and auditing, demand forecast,
2) understanding and ability to explain the impact of structure and managing the logistic network on logistic variables and economic results, the purpose and using the logistic analyses,
3) ability to implement the methods for time and material consumption measurement and analysis, techniques of demand forecast, process cost measurement,
4) ability to analyse the process and logistic chain with use of more criteria and identify the potential for improvement,
5) ability to design and evaluate appropriate variants of logistic network icluding the risk mitigation.

Summary
The subject extends the knowledge about logistics into areas overcoming one company borders (supply chain management, external logistic integration, ways to ensurance the resilience of supply chains), it presents and compares various logistic concepts. It supports the development of analytical, diagnostic and designing procedures in logistics based on advanced techniques. It provides knowledge about progress in particular fields of logistic.

Subject syllabus:
1. Internal and external supply chains, supply chains structure, interfaces i n logistics. Goals, basic tasks and organization support of supply chain management.
2. Contradictions, risks and bullwhip effects in supply chains.
3. Directions of solving problems in supply chains: internal and external integration, resilience increasing, rationality.
4. Comparison of lean concept, agile SCM concept and Efficient Customer Response concept.
5. Demand forecasting - principles and techniques for demand forecasting.
6. Approaches to safety stock setting.
7. Trends in warehousing and warehouse management.
8. Trends in distribution logistics.
9. Reverse logistics organization.
10. Methodology of supply chain mapping, measurement, analysis and improvement.
11. Speciality of supply chain risk management.
12. Implementation of Industry 4.0 elements in supply chains I.
13. Implementation of Industry 4.0 elements in supply chains II.
