Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The outpusts of the subject: 1) obtaining the theoretical knowledge about essential and aim of logistics and about its basic tasks, 2) understanding and ability to explain the factors that have impact on running the flows and on logistics costs, the way of setting the batch size, time planning, inventory analysis, replenishment models, as well as the procedures in warehousing and distribution, 3) ability to implement the methods for batch sizing, capacity calculations, lead time planning and scheduling, layout improvement, inventory Pareto analysis, reorder point setting, MRP technique. 4) ability to analyse the lead time, layout, inventory structure and inventory turnover, 5) ability to roughly suggest the appropriate directions of flow improvement.
