Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

After finishing the subject, students will be able: · to understand the basics of a business, entrepreneurship and the basic concepts of business administration, · to know the basic business functions and their importance, · to explain operation of various business processes, · to elaborate a business plan, · to understand the financial statements and their relations, · to analyse business economy, · to use the basic marketing tools.

Summary

This is a cross-sectional course that will enable students to acquire the latest current knowledge in the field of business economics. During the semester study of the subject, students will get acquainted with the whole basic issues of business economics. Throughout the interpretation, the economic aspect of the issue is underlined and a strong emphasis is placed on students acquiring professional terminology. Students then deepen the acquired knowledge by studying in related subjects of higher grades.
