Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goals of the subject are: - to define of criteria and metrics for analysis and improvement of processes and supply chains, - to master the critical view on processes and supply chains structure and performance, - to apply the methods for process- and supply chains analysis, - to identify the risks and potential for improvement of processes and supply chains, - to evaluate the propriety of various concepts concerning the processes and supply chains organization and control, - to design and evaluate the changes in arrangement and management of processes and supply chains towards their performance, agility and resilience improvement.

Summary

The subject is focused on analysis, designing and management of processes and supply chains from point of views of quality, flexibility, resilience and effectiveness. It attends to concepts that strive to reach flows integration, coordination and synchronization, on measures for resilience and agility support and on methodoloty for measuring, diagnostics and improvement of supply chains performance. The parts of the subject are advanced methods for quality improvement in a wide sense, especially theory of constraints, value stream management and Six Sigma including supportive methods.

Subject syllabus:

1. The structure, goals and performance metricst of process- and supply-chains. 2. Problems and risks of supply chains, negative chains effects. 3. Principles of process organization and control. Decision making about supply chains oering and capacity. 4. Application of theory of constraints in supply chains organizing and control. 5. Criteria and tools for process and supply chains analysis. 6. Concepts focused on integration, coordination and sychronization of flows. 7. Kinds of actions aimed on risks mitigation, resilience and agility in supplz chains. 8. Approaches to improvement of process- and supply chains performance. 9. Advanced techniques and tools for process organization, for qualitz management and time processing.
