Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The student will get acquainted with the issues of quantitative and qualitative research. She/He will be able to work with professional literature and use it correctly in her/his own text. The student will learn how to define a research sample, research questions, research hypotheses, and research aim. She/He will also be able to process the necessary data, interpret them graphically and statistically, and evaluate a simple questionnaire survey.

Summary

The course is focused on acquiring knowledge and getting acquainted with the terminology of qualitative and quantitative research. The aim of the course is to prepare the student in terms of methodology so that she/he would be able to prepare a methodological plan of her/his own research (final thesis) and then interpret the results obtained.
