You will know
to classify and characterize legal forms of nonprofit organization in the Czech Republic;
to describe the theories of nonprofit organization;
You will be able
to specify the criteria of nonprofit organization separation;
to define the basic principles of nonprofit organization management;
to distinguish the legal and economic aspects of state and non-state nonprofit organization functioning;
You will gain
obtain the practical experience for analysis of nonprofit organization financial management.

Summary
The course focuses on the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the field of mission, goals, management, position and economic assumptions of the functioning of formal non-profit organizations within the national economy. Specification of non-profit organizations according to individual types (founding, establishment, authorities, cancellation, extinction). Emphasis is placed not only on the specifics of non-profit organizations, the ways of their management and sources of financing, but also on the role and application of marketing, fundraising and crowdfunding.

Subject syllabus:
Outline of the subject (main topics after each week):
1. The national economy and non-profit organisations. The definition of the public and private sector and the role of non-profit organisations within each sector, the terminology, definition.
2. Role and function of non-profit organisations in civil society. The concept of civil society, the mission and activities of businesses and organisations. Criteria for the breakdown of non-profit organisations (typology). The merits of the existence of governmental and public-law non-profit organisations.
3. Historical background in the non-profit sector in the Czech lands. The role of the Government Council for non-governmental NGOs.
4. Foundations of the theory of non-profit organizations and general principles of their operation (social consumption, public consumption, ownership, issue of the nature of goods). Foundation and endowment funds. Legislation, establishment, establishment, cancellation, extinction, authorities, principles of management, practical examples.
5. Local government in the Czech Republic. characteristics, functions and roles of territorial self-governing units (municipalities, regions, voluntary bundles of municipalities, areas of cohesion). Legislation, powers, bodies, goods provided, principles of management.
6. Self-Government in the Czech Republic. characteristics, functions and roles of professional chambers with mandatory and optional membership. Legal regulation, establishment, establishment, dissolution, extinction, authorities, principles of management.
7. Contributory organisations and organisational units of the state and local government. Legal regulation, establishment, establishment, revocation, extinction, institutions, principles of management, main and other/complementary activities, funds management.
8. Churches and religious societies. Legislation, establishment, establishment, revocation, extinction, authorities, revenue and expenditure, principles of management, special rights, public funding.
9. Political parties and political movements. Legislation, establishment, establishment, revocation, extinction, authorities, revenue and expenditure, principles of management, financing from public budgets.
10. Management as an economic tool in non-profit organizations. Planning, SWOT analysis, influencing surroundings, principles and principles, mission, measurement of performance.
11. Management in non-profit organizations. Conception of communication, communication techniques, communication and motivation relationship, specifics of personnel management, personnel activities, tangible interest, remuneration.
12. Development of marketing thinking, subjects, essence and importance of marketing, public relations and lobbying in non-profit organizations.
13. The importance and role of fundraising, crowdfunding, donation and volunteering in non-profit organizations.
14. Finance in non-profit organizations. The Role of accounting, calculation, pricing, performance measurement and tax payment issues in non-profit organizations. Financial analysis and decision-making indicators of financial analysis for non-profit organisations.
