Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the functioning of eGovernment in the Czech Republic and the European Union. -students will learn about the institutional, legal and technical aspects of eGovernment, -they get a general overview of the use of information technology in public administration - they familiarize themselves with the currently applied eGovernment tools as well as the currently used information systems of public administration at national level and in the territory.

Summary

The electronization of public administration is one of the contemporary priorities of modernizing public administration efforts in the Czech Republic as well as in the EU countries. The subject of te course eGovernment is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the development and functioning of eGovernment in the Czech Republic and the EU countries. Attention will also be paid to partial topical issues related to eServices, eParticipation, eDemocracy, eHealth and cyber security in public administration. Specific examples of successful Czech and European eGovernment projects and examples of good practice from abroad will be presented.
