Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The main goal is to gain knowledge about the modern theories and their application for designing regional policy. This is based on proving and updating knowledge and theoretical principles of localization theory, growth theory and regional policy theories.

Summary

Localization theory, localization business decisions, neoclassical location theory, behaviorist conception localization theory. The settlement structure and urban systems, models of phased development of the city. Demand-oriented growth theory, neoclassical theory, the theory of polarization. New growth theory, the concept of innovation, regional business structure and innovation, business strategy and innovation. Regional policy, strategy-oriented mobility, endogenous strategy, the practice of regional policy, regional policy of the European Union, the regional policy of the Czech Republic.

Subject syllabus:

Lokalizační teorie, lokalizační rozhodování podniků, neoklasická lokalizační teorie, behavioristické koncepce lokalizační teorie. Sídelní struktura a městské systémy, modely etapového vývoje města. Poptávkově orientované teorie růstu, neoklasické teorie, teorie polarizace. Nové teorie růstu, koncepce inovace, regionální podniková struktura a inovace, podnikatelské strategie a inovace. Regionální politika, strategie orientované na mobilitu, endogenní strategie, praxe regionální politiky, regionální politika Evropské unie, regionální politika České republiky.
