Teaching methods
Summary
The course introduce the principles and tasks of treasury management of firms
and its function in financial management. Within the course, the organization
of treasury in firms, cash management, treasury systems, managing of currency
and interest rate risks in firms and legal, tax and accounting aspects of
treasury activities.

Subject syllabus:
1) Podstata, cíle postavení treasury managementu v podniku, organizační
složky.
2) Cash management – určení strategie řízení likvidity a pracovního
kapitálu, prognóza peněžních toků, teoretické modely.
3) Cash management – řešení (krátkodobého i dlouhodobého) nedostatku
peněžních prostředků.
4) Cash management – řešení (krátkodobého i dlouhodobého) přebytku
peněžních prostředků.
5) Cash management – řešení (krátkodobého i dlouhodobého) přebytku
peněžních prostředků II., včetně daňových aspektů a dalších vlivů (PMR, PPV).
6) Cash pooling a netting – typy, efekty, technika fungování.
7) Případová studie – treasury daily business (přednáška předběžně
domluvena s externistou ze Severomoravské energetiky, a.s.).
8) Řízení měnových a úrokových (FRA, IRS, cap/floor) rizik s důrazem na
skutečně používané nástroje na českém trhu.
9) Externí vztahy z hlediska treasury – vztahy s bankami a investory,
rating, corporate governance.
10) Právní, daňové a účetní aspekty fungování treasury.
11) Treasury systémy, včetně EBS.
12) Vývoj treasury managementu v České republice + trendy.
13) Vývoj treasury managementu ve střední a východní Evropě + EU.
14) Fungování dealingu – FOREX, MM, CM
