Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Aims of the course: Working on solving and preparing a bachelor's thesis. Acquired knowledge: Research and professional activities corresponding to the focus of the bachelor's thesis. Acquired skills: Preparation of a final graduate thesis, processing and adjustment of input data, formulation of hypotheses and their verification, discussion of results, formulation of conclusions, presentation of results, and professional argumentation.

Summary

The course is part of a professional bachelor's degree program and focuses on supporting students in the preparation of their final thesis. The seminar includes consultation on questions and clarification regarding the topic of the final thesis, processing of input data, formulation and verification of hypotheses, discussion of results with respect to the current state of knowledge in the field, formulation of conclusions, presentation of results, and professional argumentation. The topic of the bachelor's thesis is selected in accordance with the intended content of the subject Professional practice.

Compulsory literature:

Directive No. EkF_SME_12_002 of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics VSB-TUO on Guidelines for Graduate Theses Professional literature according to the specifications of the bachelor thesis assignment.

Recommended literature:

Professional literature recommended by the supervisor of the bachelor's thesis.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Credit based on the submitted partial parts of the bachelor's thesis.

Subject syllabus:

- Selection of the topic of the bachelor's thesis based on the individual interests of the student from the listed topics. - Choosing the goal of the bachelor's thesis and selecting adequate methods for its processing, discussing the outline of the bachelor's thesis. - Literary sources, suitability of sources, ways of citing and compiling a list of used literary and other sources. - Formal requirements of the bachelor's thesis. - Gathering and verification of input data. - Ongoing consultations on the processed results with the supervisor of the bachelor's thesis. - Methodology of processing the bachelor's thesis.
