Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to introduse the students in selected areas of financial decision-making. Students will be able: - to introduce the importance of time value of money into decision-making, - to apply investment criterions, - to analyze and select optimal sources for company financing, - to propose financial plan of a firm.

Summary

The course develops selected issues of the corporate finance fundamentals; in addition, new issues and problems are studied and explained in order to support the quality of the financial decision-making. Attention is paid particularly to financial analysis, financial planning and valuation.

1: Fundamentals and principles of financial management and decision-making. 2: Financial analysis. 3: Approaches for company financial performance measuring. 4: Capital structure and costs of capital. 5: Time value of money usage in the financial management and decision-making. 6: Capital budgeting. 7: Internal capital sources. 8: External capital sources. 9: Dividends, dividend theories, dividend policies. 10: Company valuation. 11: Financial planning.
