Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to acquire basic knowledge and skills in the area of design and implementation of relational database applications. The subject should familiarize students with the SQL language and with basic database objects such as table, view, stored procedure or trigger. Students will verify acquired knowledge on the DBMS Microsoft Office Access and Microsoft SQL Server.

Subject syllabus:

Cvičení: 1.Datové modelování a projektování datových struktur, základní konstruktory konceptuálních a logických modelů. 2.Opakování základů Microsoft Accessu – návrh struktury tabulek, formulářů, sestav, definování dotazů. 3.Opakování základů programovacího jazyka Visual Basic for Application – deklarace proměnných, procedur, funkcí, základní struktury programovacího jazyka. 4.Knihovna objektů Microsoft Accessu (Microsoft Access Objects) s důrazem na vlastnosti a metody objektů Form, Report, Control a jejich praktické aplikace. 5.Přístup k datům pomocí programovacího jazyka AccessSQL (pouze DML). 6.Knihovna objektů určených pro přístup k datům ADO (ActiveX Data Objevte) s důrazem na vlastnosti a metody objektů Connection, Recordset, Command, Parameter. 7.Microsoft Access ve víceuživatelském prostředí, zabezpečení databáze.
