Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

- get basic information wich are necessary by working with PC - be able to describe basic PC structure - be able to characterize the function of individual PC components - be able to acquire pogram tools wich is normally used by work of user - obtain information about the functioning of communication networks - understand the principles of the Internet - use the Internet to obtain information - to gain a basic knowledge of information systems in enterprises and institutions - to understand the role and application of ICT in businesses - to understand basic data structures and database conceptions

Summary

The aim of the course is to unify students' knowledge in the field of personal informatics and to extend them in the field of business informatics. Students should understand the structure of computer equipment (HW and SW), the operation of computer networks (LAN and WAN). The next goal is to understand the use of computer technology in economic subjects. It is discussed the deployment of information systems, their types and integration into companies and institutions.

Self-study - deepening of experience and knowledge of taught topics (processing of documents and data, self-management, etc.) Credit - elaboration of tasks in the given application (MS Office). Exam - test.
