The course focuses on Conceptual database modeling: Entity-Relationship model; Conceptual database modeling: semantic models and anchored modeling; Distributed database systems: architecture, data replication, data fragmentation, data allocation; Classification (levels) of information systems, OLTP and OLAP technology; Fundamentals of Data Warehousing (DW); DW Environment, DW Architecture; DW: data models, used schema of data types; DW: multidimensional views of data, creating and description; DW: internal data models; Recent developments in data warehouses
