After the course the participants will be able to • define aims of macroeconomic analysis, • explain, classify and interpret construction of macroeconomic models, • clarify principles of economic growth, • analyze main segments of aggregate demand, • clarify and analyze possible impacts of macroeconomic prediction to economy of Czech Republic.

Summary

The course is focused on macroeconomic analysis. The introductory part of the course is devoted to the definition of the objectives of macroeconomic analysis, explanation, classification and construction of macroeconomic models. There are also summarized theoretical approaches to the analysis of main components of aggregate demand. The following sections successively analyzed the problem of the theory of growth, foreign direct investment and macroeconomic forecasts.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Students' knowledge will be continuously monitored during seminars. Based on these interim controls will be decided on the granting of credit, its acquisition is a prerequisite for the possibility of an examination.

Topics will be lectured in the following order: 1. Theory of macroeconomic analysis 2. Construction of macroeconomic models 3. Theories of consumption 4. Theories of investment 5. Fiscal policy and public finance 6. Inner and outer macroeconomic balance 7. Endogenous theories of economic growth 8. Theories of foreign direct investment 9. Macroeconomic predictions 10. Dynamic macroeconomic analysis 11. Conclusions, consultations
