Summary

Project management as the way of management`s complex problem solving with the minimum resources consumption, in the optimal time layout and the compliance of corresponding quality standards. Basic tools and techniques of the project management. The project life cycle structure, organisational forms of the project. Project management success principles.

Examples of projects: • Developing a new produkt or service • Effecting a change in structure, staffing or style of an organisation • Developing or acquiring a new or modified information system • Constructing a building or facility • Implementing a new business procedure or process • etc. (f.e. - your holiday, painting of new flat, conference, wedding, study of foreign language, university, playing piano) How many pages of this project ? Answer: 15-20 pages Project contains majority of information about : • Project Start Up and Project Close Out • Project Structures and Time Schedule • Resources and Project Cost and Finance • Project Risks • Performance Measurement • Tools and Techniques (CAUSE-AND-EFFECT diagram, Pareto diagram) • Project Organisation • Communication • etc. If it´s possible project should contain processes (initiation, planning, realisation and closing) and areas according PMBOK. It means : • Process integration management • Process scope management • Process time management • Process cost management • Process quality management • Process human resource management • Process communications management • Process risk management • Process procurement management • Stakeholders of project and organization type
