• Characterize Operations analysis as a systems discipline
• Define the basic concepts of economic - mathematical modelling
• Classify methods of operational analysis
• Explain the nature and application possibilities of basic techniques
• Apply the chosen methods and tools on specific practical problems

Seznámení studentů se základní metodologií operační analýzy jako aplikační systémové disciplíny pro řešení ekonomických a podnikatelských problémů.
Získání znalostí o charakteru, podstatě, aplikačních oblastech a využitelnosti vybraných metod operační analýzy v ekonomické praxi, ukázka tvorby a aplikace vybraných ekonomicko-matematických modelů pro podporu rozhodování v řízení.

Subject syllabus:
1. Operation analysis, research – quantitative approach to decision making
2. Economic- mathematical modelling, methods, classification,, solution of economic problems.
3 . Operation analysis as a systems discipline.
4. Structural analysis, Input - ouput models. Leontief open linear model. Leontief coefficients.
5. Network models.Network models application, basic concepts, methods CPM, PERT.
6. Project time estimating, activities terms in project, critical path, time slacks.
7. Linear diagram of the project and resources analysis.
9. Game theory. Normal form game. Nash equilibrium.
10. Constant-sum and zero sum games,
11. Cooperative and non-cooperative games.
12. Waiting line models, inventory control models
