The goal of the subject is understanding the meaning of decision-making in the management and gaining of basic skills in solving decision problems.

Summary
Students should be able to define basic terminology at the decision-making theory, specify approaches to solving the decision-making problems, describe the structure of the decision-making process, are able to recognize the decision making under certainty, uncertainty and risk and apply these methods to real-life problems.

The subject is finalised with the project submitting and its defending on the concrete topic. It shows the abbility to applicate the topic for the concrete decision-making situation.

1. Decision-making as a part of management. Subject and goal of decision-making theory. Structure of a decision-making process
2. Classification of decision-making problems
3. Methods to assign weights to criteria - pointing methods, pairwise comparisons
4. Methods to assign weights to criteria - Saaty's method
5. Methods of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) - ordering method, TOPSIS method
6. MCDM method: Analytical Hierarchy Method
7. MCDM method: Promethe method
8. Game theory - introduction and classification of conflict problems
9. Game theory - matrix games
10. Game theory - matrix games vs. linear programming
11. Game theory - bi-matrix games
