Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students can work with the business model system EMA.PM, concrete with the procuts-cost model, producing model and financial model. It will explained them the core of the simulation model creating, which is based on the system dynamics methods. The will work with Powersim software support, which supports this method.

Other requirements

The exam consists of the oral part. There are checked theoretical and practical skills from the creating and editing of the models. The course credit is based on the practical proving of creation simulations models. Students write the test, there are checked knowledge of the EMA.PM models.

Subject syllabus:

1.Introduction to the systems theory and systems thinking. 2. Economics-mathematical modeling, model classification. 3. Structural analysis of business processes, structural models. 4. Software support of SM. Business model system EMA.PM. 5. Product-cost model, productions model and financial model – main parts of the EMA.PM SW. 6. Software support of SM – other available SW tools. 7. Soft systems metodology, approaches to the model creating. 8. Fundament of system dynamics. 9. Development of the business model by using of system dynamics. 10. Systems dynamics software support. Introducing of Powersim SW product. 11. Simulation model software support – other available SW products – main attributes and differences. 12. Simulation models – creating and testing. 13. Logistic processes and its simulation model possibilities.
