Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The course is focused on description and application of multi-criteria decision making methods. Students will learn how to solve various discrete decision making problems under different assumptions (certainty x risk x uncertainty, decision making with a single decision maker, group decision making), different input data types, etc. The first part of the course is devoted to non-conflict decision making (without any opponent) and the second part to conflict decision making (game theory). Students should be able to analyze a problem, use a suitable method and find the best decision with respect to the given aim.
