Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the subject is to make students familiar with
- the philosophy of the fuzzy approach and related terminology,
- basic operations with fuzzy sets and fuzzy numbers,
- possibilities how to use gain knowledge of fuzzy approach to solve real management problems.

Summary
Motivation for introducing fuzzy sets. Basic operations with fuzzy sets and
their interpretation, a principle of their expansion and application for various depictions usable in real practice. Fuzzy numbers, their introduction, operation with fuzzy numbers and properties of these operations. Fuzzy relationships, their basic properties and possibilities of interpretation of fuzzy relations, summarising fuzzy relations and applying this operation. Examples of special fuzzy relations, fuzzy equivalency and fuzzy arrangement, application and interpretation of these terms.
