After completing this subject, students will be able to understand and apply the following skills and topic areas: - design and a assessment of steel bridges; - design and assessment of composite steel and concrete bridges; - design and assessment of steel footbridges.

Pavement of bridges, bridge deck, bridge accessories and attachments, bridge bearings, bridge fasteners. 4. Fatigue of steel bridges. 5. Plate steel girder bridges. 6. Composite steel and concrete girder bridges. 7. Truss steel girder bridges. 8. Spatial interaction of steel bridge members. 9. Beam grillages, skew bridges. 10. Curved bridges. Frame bridges. 11. Arched bridges. 12. Cable-stayed bridges. 13. Suspension bridges. 14. Fabrication and erection of bridge structures, examples of existing bridges.
