Summary

Students are supposed to achieve knowledge in design of simple reinforced load bearing structures, including stairs structures, one-way slabs and two-way slabs and knowledge in design of simple foundation structures, including food foundation and strip foundation under load bearing wall. Students are acquainted with basic design of masonry structures.

Compulsory literature:

- EN 1992-1-1 Eurocode 2: Design of concrete structures - part 1-1: General rules and rules for buildings, CEN 2004. - EN 1996 -1-1 Eurocode 6: Design of masonry structures - part 1-1: General rules for reinforced and unreinforced masonry structures, CEN 2005.

Recommended literature:

- Procházka, J., Štemberk, P.: Design procedures for reinforced concrete structures, nakladatelství ČVUT Praha 2009. - Martin, L. H., Purkiss, J.A.: Concrete Design to EN 1992, Elsevier, 2006. - Gamble L. W.: Reinforced Concrete Slabs (2nd edition). John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2000.
