Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
After completing this subject, students will be able to understand and apply the following skills and topic areas:
- familiarization with BIM principles (Building Information Modelling);
- creation of 3D structure model in software Tekla Structures;
- creation of drawing documentation from the created 3D model;
- interconnection of static calculations with 3D structure model;
- operational management of design and construction of load bearing structures with BIM tools.

Summary
Within the framework of the subject "BIM Modelling of Constructions", students will acquire skills in modeling of load-bearing structures in accordance with BIM principles. The general knowledge of the BIM obtained in the subject "Information Models of Buildings" is expanded by practical applications focused on the load-bearing structures of the buildings. Teaching takes place in a computer classroom. In addition to creating a 3D model of the load-bearing structure, students are also familiar with the possibilities of connecting the model with static software as well as with the operational management of design and construction of load-bearing structures with BIM tools.
