Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

After completing this subject, students will be able to understand and apply the following skills and topic areas: - principles how to create the static assessment, - practical usage of static software in the design and reliability assessment of load-bearing structures, - automatization when creating the static report, - gaining practical experience with static programs.

Summary

Within the framework of the subject "Static Assessment Automatization", students will be acquainted with the utilization of static software in the design and reliability assessment of load-bearing structures. Teaching takes place in a computer classroom. The experience and skills gained from the previous courses focused on load-bearing structures and their modeling will be extended by practical application of static programs.

Other requirements

At least 70% attendance in the tutorial. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides the reasonableness of the excuse). Semestral project must be hand in within the deadline set by the teacher.

Prerequisities

Subject has no prerequisities.

Co-requisities

Subject has no co-requisities.

Subject syllabus:

Tutorials: 1. General requirements on static reports. 2. Actions on complex statical systems - load assignment to static program, creation of combinations in accordance with standard requirements, determination of decisive load cases, basic principles of input values control. 3. Stability analysis of bar structures - practical examples of the use of stability calculations, evaluation of stability analysis results, control of results. 4. Numerical modeling of shell structures, including evaluation of results in relation to valid standards for design and assessment of structures. 5. Modeling and static assessment of seismically loaded structures. 6. Automatic assessment of steel structures - input data on buckling lengths, interpretation and verification of results, design optimization of the structure. 7. Automatic assessment of concrete structures – interpretation and validation of results, design of the reinforcement area, design optimization of the structure, assessment of the serviceability limit state. 8. Static assessment automatization, creation of static reports. 9. Individual project in relation to the diploma thesis. 10. Test.
