Summary

Reinforced concrete structural systems: Reinforced concrete multi storey buildings: Framed structural systems, Panel structural systems, structural systems from spatial members, loads, material, basics of statical solution, effect of character of member joints, bracing systems. Reinforced concrete halls: Loads, truss halls, non-truss halls, members of prefabricated halls and their joints, examples of various types of halls. Steel structural systems: Classification of cross-sections, compact and slender cross-sections, differences and basics of carrying capacity determination. Carrying capacity of compact cross-sections according to Eurocode, combination of bending-shear-tensions or compression, effect of shear on design carrying capacity. Planar loading in web of beam, local stress in web, comparative stress. Carrying capacity of slender cross-sections, effective cross-section. Braces of webs of beams – transverse braces, basics of structural solution and design. Steel hall buildings: layout solution, transverse tying, columns, spatial stiffness ensurance. Crane tracks generally, structural solution of crane tracks. Steel and steel-concrete framed structures: process layout, bracing, statical schemes. Anchorage of steel structures: types, structural solution of footings. Steel concrete structures: basics of usage, properties, steel-concrete beams, ceilings, columns. Thin-walled steel structures: cross-section shapes, effective cross-section. Timber structural systems: Planar structural members: beams, grids, trusses (lattice and web-plate). Planar frames and arches. Rafters. Braces of timber structures. Timber structures of buildings. Degradation of wooden materials.
