Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students will focus on the historical context of the development of architecture andurban planning, development, construction materials and structures 19th and 20 century, the familiar with the principles of architectural and urban composition. Give an overview of the significant artists of the 19th and buildings and 20 century, and it simultaneously from the urbanism field . Students will understand the principles governing the organization and structure of the city in its historical development and current issues in restructuring.

Summary
Předmět je koncipován tak, aby seznámil posluchače stavebních oborů se základy vývoje architektury a urbanismu. Zahrnuje základní charakteristiky vývojových období typických pro architekturu a stavbu měst na území českých zemí a přibližuje vývoj ve světě 20. století. Současně s průběhem architektonické tvorby seznamuje posluchače s vývojem urbanismu, funkčním uspořádáním města a dědictvím průmyslové zóny v organismu města. Napomáhá také orientaci v soudobé světové tvorbě inženýrských staveb a staveb v krajině.
Znalosti a dovednosti studenta získané absolvováním předmětu:
Student se bude orientovat v historických souvislostech vývoje architektury a
urbanismu, vývoje stavebních materiálů a konstrukcí 19. a 20. století, bude
seznámen s principy architektonické a urbanistické kompozice. Získá přehled o
významných tvůrcích a stavbách 19. a 20. století a to současně z oblasti
urbanismu. Student bude chápat zásady organizace a struktury města v jeho
historickém vývoji i v současných problémech restrukturalizace.
