Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students should gain basic knowledge of design, construction and operation of individual elements of water supply and sewerage in context with other areas of urban construction and regulations. They handle simple preparation of project documentation water and sewerage network, including determining the basic parameters and dimensions of part of the network. Knowledge use in the design and administrative practices

Summary

The lectures on water supply and sewerage structures are divided on two parts. The part on water supply contains a conception and computations of water conduits, collection, adjustment, water accumulation and pumping, water pipeline networks and pipes. The part on sewerage contains a conception and computations of sewerage, types of sewer water, sewerage networks, sewerage pipelines, constructions of waste water plants and their importance for the quality of surface water. Related laws and regulations are mentioned.
