Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Transversal course provides students with basic knowledge of construction economics and management in the construction industry with special attention to the construction work. It emphasized the technical aspect of the economy with construction and use of economic decision theory and decision-making tools to solve problems. The importance of economic construction and construction management in the context of increasing life-cycle cost of buildings, utilities and maintenance of long-term sustainable development investments.

Summary

The course provides basic information on the construction market conditions and legal status of the construction business, including obligations under construction. Particular attention is paid to production and production preparation, planning and management process. The topics such as organization and management of construction company. The course is the schedule of construction and the basic concept of building operation. Expected to apply the knowledge already gained in technical subjects, economic and social.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: 1st Introduction. Construction and building the economy in the Republic, the legislative building, the social aspects of buildings. 2nd Business and construction company. Organization and management of construction company employees, expense management, Material and technical base, Storage, Property, Management. 3rd Project preparation buildings. Authorization for project activities, project documentation, supply systems and contractual relations, role of The Czech Chamber of Architects and Engineers 4th Investor activity. The tasks in each stage, finding a building contractor, on site supervision, construction engineering. 5th Contractor activities. Tender, and pre-production preparation, execution orders, subcontracts 6th Principles of organization development. The building structure, scheduling, construction site equipment. Safety and environmental management. Integrated Management System. exercise: Application of theoretical knowledge from lectures by way of examples, expert discussions. The subject follows the lecture topics. Program 1. - Establishment of the construction enterprise, business plan, write to the business Register, Program 2. - Organisation of business and labor relations, organizational structure, contract of employment,the employment agreement Program 3. - Award of public works contracts, tender documents, bid in the competition Program 4. - Contractual relations in capital construction, contract and work, the purchase contract, mandate Program 5. - Documentation on the implementation of construction, construction diary protocol handover, documentation of building construction.
