Landscape Architecture and Recreation is artistically creative biological and technical discipline that deals with the principles and bases of landscape formation more or less extensive territorial units for their use of various human societies.

Summary

Předmět představuje stručně historii vývoje oboru zahradní a krajinářské tvorby a základní zásady tvorby krajiny různými obory lidské činnosti. Jádro předmětu spočívá v základech zahradní a krajinářské tvorby, kde jsou formulovány hlavní tvůrčí principy i limity různých typů sídelní i krajinné zeleně a jak je začlenit do dalších urbánních, krajinných i společenských vztahů. K praktickému prohloubení znalostí slouží kapitola o rostlinném materiálu a jeho vlastnostech a o zakládání a údržbě zeleně, neboť městští inženýři, jako partneři projektantů a správců zeleně, orgánů ochrany přírody a památkové péče, lesníků, zemědělců a dalších, musí mít základní přehled. Jako určité rozšíření obzoru slouží kapitoly o drobné krajinné architektuře jakožto fenoménu středoevropské kulturní krajiny i základní informace o obnově venkova – procesu, který někdy v malém, někdy zásadně, ale převážně velmi pozitivně mění tvář dnešního venkova.
