Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the urbanization process, typology and qualifications of urban space, with the organization and composition of cities and municipalities, artistic aspects of construction and natural conditions of the construction of urban space. The course acquaints students with basic information about the economics of land development. As a result of accelerating economic trends and their impact on spatial structure, and the structure of cities precept, it is inevitable that future professionals who will offer services in the areas of municipal engineering, planning and management of urban space acquired the issues of urban economics and market relations in the context of territorial development.

Introduction and terminology. The settlement structure. Models settlement. The process of urbanization. The city and its development. Typology of cities. The urban structure of the city. The organization and composition of the city. Art aspects of city construction. The influence of natural factors on urban development. Residential area of the city. Territory for the economic life of the city. Areas for recreation. Traffic facilities and equipment. Technical infrastructure of the city.
