Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
A cross-curricular subject providing students with basic knowledge of building economics and management in construction, with special regard to the building component. It emphasizes the technical aspect of the economy of construction using economic and decision making theories and tools to solve decision-making problems. The importance of the construction and management economy in the construction sector is growing in the context of life-cycle costs of buildings, utilities and the maintenance of long-term, sustainable development in investment.
It includes a set of knowledge from building economy and management with regard to the building component. It deals with the construction work and the subjects involved in its creation, in particular by deciding on economic issues, budgeting, financing and economic evaluation of the construction. It analyzes in detail and specifies the activities of the main participants in the construction project.

Lectures
Summary
Course provides students with basic knowledge of construction economics and management in the construction industry with special attention to the construction work. It emphasized the technical aspect of the economy with construction and use of economic decision theory and decision-making tools to solve problems. The importance of economic construction and construction management in the context of increasing life-cycle cost of buildings, utilities and maintenance of long-term sustainable development investments.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.
