Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
To gain basic knowledge about the principles of design for housing design, including requirements for the barrier-free use of apartment buildings. An integral part is the mastering of the orientation in the legal regulations and the Czech technical standards influencing the design of the building - general requirements for construction.

Summary
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject deals with the basic general typological principles for the design of residential buildings focusing on the general and technical requirements stipulated by legal regulations, including the knowledge of barrier-free housing. It includes residential buildings, houses for individual housing, buildings for common housing, typological requirements of buildings for people with reduced mobility or orientation, including the principles of editable dwellings and special purpose dwellings. The subject is focused on comparison of the Czech legislative environment with foreign experience.

9. Flat ownership and technical requirements
10. Lifelong housing - basic principles of general technical requirements in relation to apartment house and flat
11. Requirements for barrier-free housing - special purpose house, special purpose apartment, editable apartment, nursing home

13. Residential buildings I. - characteristics, functional divisions, interior spaces
14. Residential buildings II. - staircases, wardrobes, corridors, terraces, residential buildings with built-in civic amenities and services

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Final written test of legal and normative regulations (especially Decree No. 398/2009 Coll.).
Continuous handing over of the work and checking the given thematic units on exercises at predetermined dates.

Successful passing the test from legal and normative regulations.
At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.
