Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will acquire basic knowledge in the area of public infrastructure issues, focusing on transport infrastructure, public space and completing knowledge from technical infrastructure with emphasis on general and technical requirements, including the relation of general technical requirements ensuring barrier-free use of roads and public areas.

Summary

Subject of Public Infrastructure II. deals with the general technical requirements for the construction of public roads and public areas, which are defined by the Building Act as part of public infrastructure and which are established or used in the public interest. An integral part of this is a detailed analysis of the requirements also from the point of view of barrier-free use for individual groups of people with health restrictions - especially those with movement and visual limitations.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher. The emphasis is on individual student work.

Introduction to Public Infrastructure Issues, Public Infrastructure and Transport Structures, Technical Infrastructure as a Part of Public Space, Basic Legislation and Standard Environment 2. Basic principles of barrier-free use of road constructions and public spaces in relation to conditions of easy movement of persons with limited mobility or orientation, method of ensuring barrier-free use 3. The concept of public space and its typology, layout, elements of public space 4. Typology of public areas - traditional types 5. Typology of public spaces - specific and complementary forms 6. Arrangement of public areas - arrangement of street profiles 7. Arrangement of public areas - parts of public areas (walking, cycling, parking) 8. Arrangement of public areas - parts of public spaces (local roads, rainwater management) 9. Arrangement of public areas - parts of public areas (public transport stops) 10. Elements of the public space - transport elements 11. Elements of public space - technical infrastructure 12. Elements of the public space - materials and surfaces 13.
