Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the principles of creating urban studies and subsequently assign a term paper in which students design a new development in a specifically defined location. In this way, students will learn to process the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice and in addition, they will improve their presentation skills and teamwork.

Summary
After the initial theoretical training, students are assigned a site for the creation of an urban study. Emphasis is placed on finding out all available information about the area, on the use of elements of urban composition and on transferring the theoretical knowledge to the practical level. The presentation of the results of the work, including a general discussion among the students over the work, is part of the teaching.

Other requirements
Producing all specified programmes to a reasonable quality. A minimum of 70% participation in the exercises. Absences of no more than 30% must be excused and the excuse must be accepted by the instructor (the instructor decides if the excuse is reasonable). Continuous submission of the assignments given in the exercises on the dates set by the instructor. Emphasis is placed on the student's independent work.
