Summary

The subject provides basic information about the structures and the physical and mechanical properties of construction materials and methods of determining these properties. It is focused on a specific building materials, particularly on issues of aggregates, ceramics, wood, metal, glass, binders, mortars and insulation materials. Increased attention is paid to concretes, their design, manufacture, maintenance and testing.
