Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course “Alternative Raw Materials and Building Materials” focuses on the basic knowledge of alternative raw materials and materials that can be used to produce progressive building materials with high quality properties. The course is a follow-up to the current trend where attention is focused on ecology, environmental policy and energy saving. Attention is therefore paid to non-traditional raw materials and materials of inorganic or organic origin, which are currently beginning to re-establish themselves in the field of building technologies. Students will acquire theoretical knowledge in the field of properties and use of these materials. Practical skills in the field of construction testing, demonstration of practical applications of these materials are the content of laboratory exercises.

Summary
Studenti získají teoretické znalosti v oblasti vlastností a použití těchto materiálů. Praktické dovednosti v oblasti stavebního zkušebnictví, ukázky praktických aplikací těchto materiálů jsou náplní laboratorních cvičení.
