The aim of the course is to introduce the issue of advanced concrete technology. The main intention of the course is more detailed introduction to problems of durability of concrete, high performance concrete, alternative concrete and of the trend of modification of the concrete so that it became interesting in terms of sustainable development.

The aim of the course is to introduce the issue of advanced concrete technology. At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.

Subject syllabus:

1. Historie použití pojiv, rozdělení pojiv. 2. Základní pojmy a hydratace cementu. 3. Bermudský trojúhelník betonu (smrštění – pevnost – teplota). 4. Betony s využitím minerálních příměsí. 5. Specifika vysokohodnotného betonu. 6. Trvanlivost betonu I. 7. Trvanlivost betonu II. 8. Alternativní pojiva I. 9. Alternativní pojiva II. 10. Zvláštní vlastnosti betonu (modul pružnosti, lomové chování, únava). 11. Betony z hlediska udržitelného rozvoje (zelený beton, LCA). 12. Aplikace vysokohodnotného a ultravysokohodnotného betonu. 13. Exkurze do výrobního závodu. 14. Zápočtový týden.
