Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course is focused on environmental issues.
Learning outcomes of the course unit Special constructions with impact on ecology acquaint students with some types of constructions, which have in themselves, or their existence or non-existence, great impact on the environment. Students will acquire knowledge of the following topics:
- problems of old ecological burdens. Implementation of investments aimed at reducing the load or isolating it from the environment has a significant influence, especially in industrial regions.
- problems of waste water treatment plants. When different cleaning methods and procedures differ both in their effectiveness and in their environmental impact.
- problems with heaps and their specifics. The subject deals with both the reclamation method and the thermal processes in heaps. Students will acquire practical skills in the area of design of these buildings.
