Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim is to spread knowledge of students of construction materials and diagnosis of construction in construction raw materials processing and their utilisation in civil engineering. Stress is given to stone, aggregates, ceramic and glass raw materials exploitation, processing and utilisation.

Summary
Předmět je určen pro studenty stavebních hmot a diagnostiky staveb se zaměřením na rozšíření znalostí v geologii a petrografii vzniku a uložení stavebních surovin a následně na technologii jejich zpracování a využití ve stavebnictví. Studenti se seznámí s těženými surovinami určenými pro výrobu ušlechtilé kamenické výroby, výroby kameniva pro betony a malty, zpracování vápna a sádry a výrobků z vápna a sádry, a těžba a zpracování speciálních stavebních materiálů (břidlice, keramzitu, strusky a dalších). Studenti absolvují mimo program výuky exkurze v těžebních a úpravárenských provozech.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises.
Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse).
