Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Special subject cover special building material, about which wasn’t read in terms of subject building material, and with which they could come across in building practice at solving concrete, special situation. Students acquaint also with basics of their designing, their features, related standard and with instances of using.

Summary

Special construction materials offer statement of materials destined for special building purposes. (such as for grouting, gunting, etc.) and also puts brain to new developed building materials. This subject concentrates not only on these special building materials properties description but also on optimal methods of their using.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures 1st Introduction and overview of training exercises, a binder and a special binder. 2nd Requirements for special binders, laboratory tests and testing of binders. 3rd Design of special concrete mixtures (methods). 4th Steel fiber and fiber I. 5th Design principles of fiber mixtures - theory. 6th Full day excursion at the Mining Museum - machinery for manufacture of injection molded concrete, examples, mixing, transportation. 7th Shotcrete and gunite - production, mechanization, use of 8th Special injection mass, injection technology and applications. 9th Prestressed concrete, materials recovery 10.Steel (structural, reinforcing, prestressing) 11.Wood (structural, glued) 12.Exkurze glued to the factory 13.PU resin geocomposites 14.Insulating mass 15.Recyklate Exercise 1st Introduction, requirements for treatment programs, training in work safety construction materials laboratories. 2nd Production of composite mixed with vermiculite (test for air content in the mixture, consistency test, density test). Protocol 1 3rd Examples of special concrete mix design. (Concrete Road Design + Standard IEC 736123-1) Construction of roads - Concrete pavements - Part 1: Implementing and monitoring compliance. Activity first 4th Concrete Reinforcement: steel properties (reinforcing steel), prestressing steel, Concrete cover, sparse reinforcement (steel fiber, glass fiber, polypropylene fibers), copper and its alloys, zinc and its alloys, aluminum and alloys. 5th Design of SCC. Programme 1 6th Production of SCC. Testing fresh concrete - Abrams cone density of fresh concrete, L box test, the test panted, Orimet, J Ring. Protocol 2 7th Testing hardened composite mixed with vermiculite and SCC (Transverse tensile strength, compressive strength and flexural strength). Protocol 3 8th Measurement and evaluation of hardness of the metal Hardox. Protocol 4 9th Learning about construction materials (wood, construction materials, minerals and rocks). 10.Třídění Wood Strength - Part 1: Coniferous sawn timber (CSN 73 2824-1) Wood - a method of detecting Janka hardness (CSN 49 0136, ST SEV 2366-80), Wood - pressure across the grain (CSN 49 0112, ST SEV 389-76), Wood - pressure in the direction of the fibers (ST SEV 816-77), Wood - Determination of density (CSN 49 0108), Testing properties of solid wood - the survey method and absorptivity wettability (CSN 49 0104), Structural timber - strength classes (IEC 338), Structural timber - Strength classes - Assignment of visual grades and quality trees (IEC 1912), Timber structures - test methods-determination mechanical properties of wood based panels (BS EN 789). 11.Zkoušení wood.
